Ekskluzivna izdanja Roberta Planta, Neila Younga i Johna Lennona predvodit će ponudu klasičnog rocka za ovogodišnji Record Store Day, koji će se održati 18. travnja 2026. Među najavljenim naslovima ističu se ograničena vinilna izdanja i posebne edicije namijenjene kolekcionarima i nezavisnim prodavaonicama ploča.
Robert Plant je pripremio novi studijski EP Saving Grace: All That Glitters, snimljen posebno za Record Store Day. Riječ je o nastavku njegova recentnog projekta Saving Grace, s četiri nove pjesme nastale u suradnji sa Suzi Dian. EP će biti objavljen u ograničenoj nakladi od 3.500 primjeraka.
Neil Young i bend Chrome Hearts objavit će dvostruki live album na prozirnom vinilu, uz ekskluzivni poster s tekstovima pjesama. Američko izdanje bit će ograničeno na 6.900 primjeraka. U ponudi je i izdanje Love: Meditation Mixes, koje je producirao Sean Ono Lennon, a donosi devet reinterpretacija pjesme „Love“ iz razdoblja John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band. Ovo izdanje bit će dostupno u nakladi od 4.500 primjeraka u SAD-u.
Organizatori su i ove godine izdanja podijelili u nekoliko kategorija – ekskluzivna izdanja, „RSD first“ naslove i ograničene ili regionalne naklade. Među najavljenim raritetima nalaze se i limitirani picture disc album Alicea Coopera The Revenge of Alice Cooper, kao i serija troinčnih singlova Rolling Stonesa, uključujući „Get Off of My Cloud“, „Honky Tonk Women“ i „Play With Fire“.
Na popisu ekskluzivnih vinilnih izdanja nalaze se i Black Sabbath (Seventh Star), Foreigner (Foreigner 4 Live Tour 1981–82), Grateful Dead (Boston Music Hall, Boston, MA 6/11/76), Tom Petty (July 16, 1978: Paradise Theater, Boston, MA), Pink Floyd (Live From the Los Angeles Sports Arena, April 26th, 1975), Bruce Springsteen (Live From Asbury Park 2024) i Van Halen (Live in New Haven, CT 1986).
Među ovogodišnjim kompilacijama ističe se i Rock and Roll Doctor: Lowell George Tribute Album, koji će prvi put biti objavljen na vinilu. Na albumu sudjeluju Bonnie Raitt, Randy Newman, Willie Nelson, Jackson Browne i drugi izvođači, izvodeći pjesme pokojnog frontmena grupe Little Feat.
Record Store Day globalna je inicijativa pokrenuta 2008. godine s ciljem promicanja nezavisnih prodavaonica ploča i fizičkih izdanja glazbe, a posebna, ograničena izdanja tradicionalno su u središtu interesa kolekcionara i ljubitelja vinila.
